Have you ever had the experience of asking a video retailer for a title
and were told, "It's: Out-of-print ... discontinued ... sold out ...
on moratorium ... no longer distributed ... not released on video"
or "We only sell what we have in stock - we don't special order."?
Well now there's A Million and One World-Wide Videos - We're videos
detectives - we search for hard to find rare out of print videos and dvds, every unavailable
wanted movie or tv title in the world. We also deal in public domain titles,
which have not been released on home video.
We'll advertise for your hard to find rare out of print video free. Your only obligation is to guarantee
with your credit card, that you'll pay for it when we mail it to you. All
that is needed for the ad is the title, star or director's name.
Since the invention of the movie camera, in 1895, more than a million films
have been made. Experts estimate half the movies made before 1950 are "lost." After 1950,
around 10% are active; those you can buy from many dealers.
A Million and One specializes in the hard to find rare out of print videos and the 90% lost titles, which are inactive
and therefore unavailable.
Once a title becomes inactive it is next to impossible to find through
regular dealers. A Million and One circulates wanted notices to a world-wide
network of friends, from whom we obtain most titles. These collectors have
joined together as the "Confederation des amis du cinema". Your title
might be found in a living room in Los Angeles or Peoria, Illinois; London or
Oxford, England. If the source is in the U.S. delivery takes about a month.
The Press Says
Associated Press - "A Million and One World-Wide Videos service can help find most movies"
Leonard Maltin's Movie & Video Guide - "professional locating service adept at finding any title."
Video - magazine - Janeen Renanghan - "Video gumshoes...can track down virtually any title, no matter how elusive, through extensive network of
collectors."
Washington Post - "If a film has never been released on video in the United States, (they) check abroad."
A Million and One is the last resort. We restrict our assignments to clients who have come to the conclusion that the movie or tv title they want is not available,
anywhere at any price. Why is the title not available? Because it was never released commercially for sale or it's sold out and not being manufactured; therefore it must come from a private collectors
library.
Potential clients often tell us "But I saw it on TV". This does not mean it was ever released on video to be sold to the public.
Out-of-print videos - more than 90% of all titles ever released are no longer being manufactured.
Rare movies & tv - there are thousands of movie and tv titles which have never been released commercially on video. We are able to obtain them custom
made.
Lost Films - about 50% of all the films made prior to 1950 are "lost". This means even the studio does not have a copy. We obtain them from film
collectors.
We can get any film or TV title ever made in all languages, from any country, on VHS, DVD, Laser, Beta, etc. in every standard, NTSC, PAL, SECAM and we ship
everywhere! There is no catalogue because we deal in unavailable titles exclusively.
